Hi there,

Let’s start off simple – my name is Michael Wright, I’m currently 19 and live in the north west of England. I attend the University of Sheffield doing a degree in Mechatronics.

Unfortunatley due to reasons beyond my control, it wasn’t exactly what I was looking for, I am therefore undertaking the decision to switch to a course at another university.

In my spare time I enjoy dabbling with web development, whether this be making websites for myself – or for a friend (or two). I have created a handful of sites in the past – and can still remember my first site quite vividly. If only it was actually a good site. Unfortunately that site is long gone.

The most notable site that I have created would have to be wImg Host a free Image & File Hosting site.  Created in July 2008, it swiftly took off with people claiming it better than it’s rivals. I have since updated it & added many new features. wImg has had to overcome stiff competition from other startup companies – but has fought through.

Other than web development, I enjoy relaxing, either with my girlfriend or my friends.

I could see many people coming up to me sometime when I start to announce this site & start asking me what the whole point in it is … well I’ll try to outline that below.

1) Portfolio – I’ve always wanted to have a portfolio of some sort – however never bothered to make one due to one thing or another. Now I can use this as my portfolio – and hopefully get me some more (a) clients; (b) work!

2) Blog – we’ve all tried, we’ve all failed – and we’ve all tried & failed again. However they say that third time is lucky – so let’s go with that!

So without much further ado I leave you at the end of my about page – and perhaps at the end of what has been the most boring part of this portfolio blog. I leave you with 4 words:
